Vodacom and Vodacom insurance randomly deducting insurance policies from my monthly Vodacom account
Vodacom has been subtracting monthly fees from my account for two insurance policies. The first insurance policy has been cancelled with my last upgrade in 2021, but was somehow reactivated in September 2022. Upon further investigation the reactivation was an AUTOMATIC SYSTEM REACTIVATION, which means the computer automatically reactivated the insurance policy through a 'system error'. No paperwork was done and no store was involved. Which means Vodacom and Vodacom insurance has been deducting R301 monthly from my account, because their computer decided to reactivate my insurance. I am sure I am not the only client that this has happened to and this is shocking to say the least.
Even more shocking than this is that I was informed by the person doing my most recent upgrade that there is ANOTHER insurance policy running on my name for R275 for device insurance that has been running for a long time.
When contacting Vodacom's insurance about this, they couldn't even see the insurance policy on their screen or locate where the insurance was activated or which device the insurance was for.
Going in store they printed me proof of the amount being deducted from my account monthly, which I subsequently sent through to the Vodacom insurance contact person's e-mail address, but although it was a week ago already, I am still awaiting any reply from Vodacom's insurance.
Vodacom and Vodacom's insurance has literally been *****ing my money with insurance policies being activated randomly on my name and insurance policies being deducted from my account that is not even visible on any computer screen on the Vodacom's insurance side. This is ridiculous and terrible customer service to say the least.
