Vodacom and their incompetence.

In the month of March I changed one of my Vodacom contracts from an open line to a top up. Not only did I ask the consultant to confirm with me that this is what she had done, but I also asked her to tell me what my debit orders would work out to each month. It sounded accurate.

By the end of May - into June, an extra R350 was debited from my account and I contacted Vodacom customer service in this regard.

4 weeks, 5 customer service calls from my side, 4 reference numbers and 2 empty promises later (one being from a Letchie Ajoodha in Vodacom accounts, promising that the money was refunded and will reflect in my account), not a single person in Vodacom could tell me what was going on. The two common responses I received were "The matter has been escalated" and "This will take 7 working days"

On the 8th of June A R6,002 was credited to my account and a R6250 debited. I contacted Vodacom customer service, and I was told I requested to have my contracts cancelled, that was the settlement amount and It's been settled. How even? - was my immediate response. It doesn't even make sense!

So we back to square one as the consultant once again needs to escalate the matter, another reference number and it will take 7 working days. Really if I were to carry on and go into detail about my experiences with Vodacom, I could write an award winning novel.

So - Vodacom in one word: ***********. *********** consultants *********** in delivering good customer service *********** in keeping things simple. - This is what it was. A simple change to a device.

A CLASSIC DISPLAY OF INCOMPETENCE.
