Vodacom and RAM couriers mess up - customer pays
Vodacom called me last week to offer me an upgrade which I accepted. I advised the consultant that the contact number they have on file is not my primary number, it is one of the 5 Vodacom numbers I have but I barely use it. She accepted and said she will change it to the one she called me on for the upgrade.
Vodacom then give Ram the wrong contact details. I go out of my way to get any updates from Ram even on these wrong contact details. Ram calls the wrong number at 16:40 yesterday after we close and says they are on their way. Then they arrive today after 15:00 without scheduling on either number. The sales staff call me on Facetime and I explain the story to the driver, who starts interrogating as to who is using which number and talking to us in a tone that I will not accept.
As a customer who tried to receive my parcel even with the Vodacom error of wrong contact details. The RAM error of sending an email that the parcel is at their depot and not sending any other scheduling information. I don't appreciate RAM couriers speaking to us like we owe them something.
You called me for the upgrade. If your 3rd parties don't share your values and you can't even get the admin right, then it is not my problem. I told the driver, take the parcel and eff off if thats how you gonna address me. Vodacom can cancel the contract if they can't deliver, we can grab an MTN 299 unlimited calls
