Vodacom and RAM couriers are PATHETIC

Today is the 5th of September 2018. I've been trying to upgrade (online) since the 7th of August 2018. Vodacom, together with RAM couriers, are the WORST service providers I've EVER come across. I've been a customer of Vodacom since they were founded 1996 - that's 22 years ago. I will no longer be supporting them should this situation not be rectified AND I receive a sincere apology from the Vodacom Group Limited.

My 1st upgrade attempt has been done on the 7th of August 2018. I've selected an LG V30 with a free LG Stylus 3 handset on a Red More Data 10GB and the upgrade was confirmed via SMS and e-mail. After 2 weeks, I phoned Vodacom as I have not received the devices or any further communication. To my surprise, I was informed by Lesego from the cancellations department that the device has been sent back to Vodacom and the upgrade cancelled - apparently due to suspected *****. Not once was I contacted or informed by any means of this.

Lesego then advised that I can no longer upgrade to the selected devices as they've been discontinued and stock is no longer available. I demanded that Vodacom make a plan as it was not my fault that the upgrade was cancelled and that I felt it was my right as consumer to receive the product(s) that I have successfully chosen. We subsequently agreed on this and I was later informed that delivery would take place. After delivery didn't take place on the agreed upon day, I phone again. This time I was informed that the devices can't be obtained at all.

AGAIN. I did an upgrade telephonically and reluctantly chose an iPhone on the same package. My son had to take delivery on my behalf and I informed Lesego of this. She advised that he should have a copy of my ID, proof of address and permission letter from me ready. When RAM came 2 days later, they refused to deliver the phone as they have apparently not been instructed by Vodacom that a 3rd party is taking delivery. This was on the 30th of August.

We again followed up with Lesego. After phoning her daily as there was no activity on RAM's tracking results, I've been informed today (5 September 2018) that RAM has sent back the phone and that the upgrade was cancelled AGAIN. For the 3rd time.

This was the WORST experience I've had in my entire life. Please be ensured that I will not be continuing with any one of my SIX contracts with Vodacom should this be how they choose to treat their loyal customers. I'm done screaming and fighting to try and get this upgrade done and would rather cancel the contract on expiration date and move to an alternative service provider. The same would be done with my remaining contracts.

I'm utterly disappointed in this disgusting service.

Please note that Lesego was friendly the entire time and was seemingly doing everything she could to get this upgrade done. I therefore think that the miscommunication problem lies elsewhere.

Fed up and frustrated

Matter still not resolved. Almost another month later again. Apparently there's now no stock of the phone I ordered. This is so unnecessary and frustrating. So this is now the second phone that I've ordered that is not delivered to me due to incompetence. Think it's absolutely SHOCKING that I'm struggling to upgrade for a total of 3 months now
