Vodacom and Opera Telecom *****

I am not one to check my cell phone bill because i have a company phone that i have managed well for the past decade. I dont usually exceed my voluntary limit and thus hardly have to pay the excess charges out of pocket. Recently I have been doing paying out of pocket and found it strange. This month i checked my bill and to my horror i found that i am being charged content charges for a company called Opera Telecom. I have never subscribed to any of these types of platforms ever. I then decided to complain on Hello Peter and became even more angered when i realised from all the existing complaints that this is an ongoing problem that Vodacom is aware of. I dont even know when this started.

I called Vodacom to complain and was told that they will stop the subscription and gave a number to call Opera Telecom. GUESS WHAT, that number doesnt work. So Vodacom, it looks like you are complicit in this obvious ***** that is taking place because you are providing Opea Telecom with the means to ***** money from your subscribers without their consent. I will be reporting this to my company since this is a business contract. You are afterall a preferred service provider here. I regret not porting to TELKOM when I had the chance. I wont make that mistake again with my next upgrade. You are offering no protection to your subscribers against these types of ********** activities that you are fully aware of. Instead you happily deduct your money from me when the bill is due. You are aiding and abetting *********. Opera Telecom has already been fined on several occasions by WASPA but still you allow them to take my money. I will be lodging complaints against Vodacom and Opera Telecom with all the telecommunication governing bodies that I can find. AND I will be porting to Telkom when my contract expires. I will also make sure that all my friends on Vodacom know about this. I will mail them my bill as proof.
