VODACOM AND ME - ANOTHER STORY OF THE SAME PROBLEM
Issue 1: I cancelled my cell phone insurance on 17 January2021. Vodacom are still charging me for insurance. Vodacom owe me R252.54 in credit. This is the 2nd time I am reporting this. After the last time, they phoned me, and agreed that I had cancelled the insurance and that they owed me the credit.
Issue 2: I am a SASSA pensioner, I have told them this. I try to keep enough money in my bank to pay my Vodacom account at the end of each month. If I don't have enough, I have to wait for my pension to pay the balance. SASSA only pays between the 4th and 7th of the next month depending on weekends. When I get my pension I pay what I owe.
Issue 3: The last conversation with Vodacom, the lady said, my bank takes longer for the payment to show on their system. This is not my problem and I have no control over the bank or their system. They should makes allowances if the bank payment takes longer to show on their system.
Issue 4: Legally, I have until the 7th of each month to pay my account, but Vodacom harass me with messages and phone calls from disembodied voices every month. I have been with Vodacom since I got my first cell phone more than 20 years ago. One would think they would try to accommodate a long term customer and allow the customer to pay their account in peace.
I am disgusted with Vodacom's lack of interest in their customer relations., They need to jack up their act. I have heard others complaining about similar issues with Vodacom.
