Vodacom and MBD ****med me

Once again Vodacom doesn’t seem to surprise me with their services. I was in a partnership in a company that collapsed during Covid and we had a business account with Vodacom.

They were one of the many creditors and were too impatient and handed the account over to MBD ATTORNEYS to collect the outstanding monies.

MBD contacted me and provided me with the full amount and advised that if I settled by a specific date I would get a 20-25% discount , which they had calculated.

The agent contacted me on what’s app and send me the details , payment was made promptly and I never heard from them again or received my settlement letter.

To my surprise I now get a call from another debt collection company for the balance which was discounted.

Vodacom either uses unprofessional and ********* companies to collect on their behalf or they in fact do. To give the discount they purport to give in order to **** people into making a full payment on a contract which has been cancelled.

Is this *****…..?

Typical response just shrug us off and dump us to attorneys that don’t know what the are doing and this is what caused me to log the complaint. I was unable to take the call and you tried to contact me once and then send me an sms to say the ticket is closed.

Pather customer service.
