Vodacom and iphone has zero integrity

Apparently when a phone is under warranty and the lcd starts showing dead lines its not covered??? Or so i was told by my local vodacom shop. Well the phone has been in a cover and protector since day 1 and this is a manufacturer issue, so i expect vodacom to collect, repair and rediliver the handset asap, seen as though they can lie and waste my time and money
