Vodacom and Finrite Poor Service and Dishonesty
I opened cellphone contract with Vodacom insurance from Vodacom Chatz Connect (Adderley Street, Cape Town) March 2022 just before the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. I have been using the phone since then without lodging any claim. Beginning of August 2022 my phone was ****** in my car while I was involved in an accident and I lodged a claim but my claim was declined. The police gave me the case number. I tried to find out as to what is the reason of the decline, they informed me that the phone was not connected to the Vodacom network. I further enquired because that was never explained to me nor received a copy of the signed contract accompanied by a copy of my signed Comprehensive Insurance Contract. I then requested the signed copy of my contract, they sent it after a week and all to find out the contract (binding document) is incomplete and there is no copy of the signed insurance contract (binding document). As I am writing this review, Vodacom is conducting an investigation to check whether the contract was explained to me telephonically or not. It has been two to three weeks now and they cannot find it and again I did inform them they will find nothing because that was never explained and nothing was signed. In simple terms I have been paying for a contract that has incomplete paperwork and no sign of insurance contract though when I receive my invoices the Comprehensive Insurance is included. Isn't that ***** and *******ion??
Vodacom Finrite Insurance staff are arrogant and the main thing they focus on is money and they do not want to pay the claim. @Vodacom I want my phone replaced and I will have to embark on legal processes with evidence full evidence of the incomplete cellphone contract that we agreed upon.
