Vodacom and data

Guys make me understand something here. My 1GB data does not last me even 4 days now. Since this lockdown I'm experiencing my data running out very quickly. And please don't tell me about running backgroud apps I have long disbaled them when I bought this phone last year. Even typical whatsapp application only receives messages when i unlock my phone, just to show to the extent I have closed background apps running for data usage. This year i experienced issues with my vodacom number whereby my phone was not even going to the internet though I had more than enough data, it just couldn't go through and mind you vodacom this issue was for week. Non the less back to data why is my data running out so quickly? I have checked my apps to see which app is ulitizing more data for the past week amd mind you again a "week" my max is google chrome at 53,76MB and I loaded 1GB on Friday 29 May 2020. So where is my data going vodacom. Even my apps updates I have restricted them.

Just to add on this again I load whatsapp data separately as well. I had 500MB of data for whatsapp within a week it was finished. So 1GB internet data and 500MB whatsapp data never last a week on my number. 100MB data used to last me a month

My work 5GB data sim card lasts me a month: MS Outlook opened, my internet sessions opened, remote citrix servers opened and that last me a month on my laptop.... So 1.5GB on a phone that does not even have social apps runs out quicker. Sometimes I use my girlfriend's 250MB that she loads a day hotspoting my phone and her other phone just a day not more than 250MB we use both at the same time it even lasts till midnight. And this is the same service provider
