Vodacom and dangerous WASPs

Had a problem with Vodacom and just got off the phone now with Vodacom consultant for Opera Telecom - "PHONEDRONE" services which i never requested to any of my knowledge. I was unsubscribed by the Vodacom consultant but he insisted that it is not their problem as I probably pressed a subscribe link accidentally. I certainly do not buy that explanation as I am very wary of these things. Although at this point it is only R114 its the principle and the fact that I feel highly vulnerable to this and who says this wont happen again with much worse cost consequences going into the future. I feel Vodacom should take much greater responsibility and not partner with these ****** in sheeps clothes who go out of their way to catch you out using unsolicited methods.
