Vodacom allowing ******* subscription to Game Mine
Vodacom is aware and allows the subscription by default and it is up to the user to cancel, I just bought a brand new SIM and about 15 min after using I get an SMS saying;
Name: Number: +*** Content: Reminder: Y'ello. Your Subscription Service to GameMine at R5.00/day will be renewed. This notification occurs weekly. To cancel dial *155#. Visit now ht Time: 02/07/2020 12:21:03
Being a BRAND NEW SIM how could I have ever had or made such a subscription ? The number above is the number from whence it came!
This is clearly ******* and contrary to the consumer protection act in that Vodacom is willingly and knowingly allowing this to even happen and continue. GameMine is clearly fully aware and to try and circumvent matters they make it appear as it is a subscription renewal but they provide no proof or evidence of any prior subscription having being made and no account number either.
GameMine should be fined and blacklisted from all Networks for such deliberate behavior or **** and so too should Vodacom be fined for allowing what is THEFT to occur on its network.
Vodacom your auto-response is a useless depersonalized service that is surprisingly in contrast to dealing with the operators who are very supportive and on the ball.
I saw missed call SMS's on the Vodacom # when I plugged it into a USB modem. when not plugged in it is only active for data and not calls so calls cannot be answered.
