Vodacom Aitime Advance should not be taken at face value
Vodacom Airtime Advance is a very disturbing service. I own a contract with vodacom with two handsets linked. My latest statement for January shows that there is an advance of 252.51 on my account from the 2nd handset. I immediately checked my daughter's handset and checked advance she qualifies for. It was 170 and no outstanding amount. My phone gives me that information fast in the form of mini statement showing when advances were made. She has no knowledge of any advance and her phone shows nothing. We have called vodacom on all sides and nothing that can be proved that shows where 252.51 came from. It is my conclusion that this happened in December since December payment was the usual. That is fine is there is an information on her handset like on mine when and how much has been taken to get to the total of 252 51. The amount allocated to you for and advance is always reflecting on vodacom customer care USSD. I expect that such amount would be allocated to a primary number on the contract. I have never been allocated that much and I wonder how someone who doesn't regularly buy airtime would be allocated such amount to keep on taking and taking. I have decided to remove that service on her phone to see what happens next because I cannot be paying vodacom for additional costs I never approved yet I have the primary handset on the account. I will not get satisfied into believing that vodacom can somehow do something to your account without you knowing, until I get the information on how and when these R11, R5 were taken and paid and taken again in one month up to R252. 51. This is information I have on my primary number, the last I got from her before removing the service is Outstanding 00.00 and advance R171. If the service is removed until someone who owes pays the debt should not be 00.00 but 252.51 on her phone where she used the advance.. I am going to watch what next vodacom will charge me for extra after the service has been removed. N Matyumza ***
