Vodacom agents send bank clients the can easily help

My mommy took out a contract and Vodacom asked if they should add a new no. Or transfer it to my number and my mom asked they transfer it to my number unfortunately my mother passed away in December and when I wanted to transfer it back to my name so I can make calls as the contract was now behind I received a bit of a hassle having to liaise with the deceased department blobby via email and being sent from puller to post and when it was finally settled I was sent to do a sim swap in store and I went to Vodacom Mamelodi who advised I would need my ID I explained I’m still waiting for it but I do have my temporary, unfortunately I had forgotten it at home so I made it a mission to go the following day but this time at the grove mall in Pretoria east as I was around the area.

This branch is the pits I remember the first time I went after receiving an email the the rest of the amount will be claimed to the estate they still demanded I make payment which I did of R2000 but they still couldn’t assist. When I went this time after speaking to the deceased department and having them confirm that I can now go ahead with the sim swap I walked in and was asked for proof of res, I walked all the way to Capitec and stood a very long queue and upon my return I waited for a very long time and the agents where just walking around and some sitting there with empty seats at the Vodacom branch. I was still patient and when finally it was my turn the lady with glasses was so rude from the get go telling her colleague that she shouldn’t even be assisting client as she has three papers to do I sat there with crossed fingers that she helps me and I get this over and done with. But the lady asked for my ID and when I provided the temporary she rudely said we don’t take temporary’s I’m shocked to here this because the reason why home affairs provides temporary and we pay for them is so that it can act as your ID while you wait for them to process your ID, I politely explained to the lady that the branch in Mamelodi advised that I can use it, and she dismissed me very quickly and told me to go back to the same agent who told me that. With so much anger and rage I stood up quietly and drive back to Mamelodi where a wonderful gent kindly assisted me with my ID and no proof of res. I am disgusted by the ladies behaviour and the entire staff at that. They treat clients like they are Gods gift to us and we are not just customers but paying customers at that. It’s sad to watch the only people who can assist dismiss desperate clients they are driving your name to the pits.
