Vodacom agent ****med me on a **** fibre deal

Hello Peter

I’m very unhappy with Vodacom as they are misleading customers to sign up with them for contract deals. I was misled by a Vodacom agent who approached me with a fibre deal that was supposed to be R399 monthly for uncapped data. The agent showed me a brochure with all the different deals he was promoting and I liked the R399 deal. He then gave me a form to fill out in which I did fill out however I did not have the supporting documents required at hand. He then said I have to email him the documents because he can’t process anything with out the documents. I then delayed sending the documents because I was still thinking if I should take the deal or just cancel everything. The following day I received a call that there people who came to deliver a router to my house and same day people came to install the WiFi. I was shock because I was told nothing can be processed without documentation. I allowed the people to install then I went to Vodacom shop to find out how they sent people to install when I didn’t complete the process. It turned out that the agent submitted everything with out my final approval with out the required documents e,g ID copy and bank statement. I also fount out that the application form had an option to select a package and apparently I selected a more expensive package in which I did not select anything on the form. Vodacom the logged a dispute about this whole thing because I was mislead but no response was given to me and I was told the dispute will be processed in 24 hours but it’s been 15 days and I’m still being debited R200 more than what I was told. Vodacom is using these agents to mislead customers so that they can sign up on incorrect packages and then delay the process of resolving it to make more money. I was also told that I’d be required to roughly R1500 if I want to cancel the contract and pay for the installation on top. This is very ********* and Vodacom is still doing this to people.
