Vodacom again typifies everything that is wrong with this country
Here's what's been happening with my fibre order over the last 6 weeks:
* I ordered it on 7 March, now almost 6 weeks ago. * I have made 24 calls to their call centre, spoken to 11 consultants and spend 5 hours on the phone * Every time I call I must tell them the whole story again, only to be put on hold for 10 minutes and then being told a different version/story/lie. * Two of their agents have now asked me to send them pictures of the Nokia OTN box that the previous tenants left here, and another one did a live video stream through my phone to see it. That did not stop a 4th agent from asking me to see it again yesterday. * I was told that the box the previous tenants left can only be used by Openserve (correct) and then that it can also be used by Vumatel (incorrect.) * I have been told that OpenServe does not cover my house - incorrect * I have been told that Vumatel does not cover my house (incorrect) and that it in fact does (correct - I've checked their website) * I have been promised callbacks by 2 of their agents yesterday morning alone which never happened * 4 of their agents gave me their email addresses and then did not return my emails * I was told a week ago that Vumatel will call me within 24 hours to arrange an installation. They never called * I was told 2 days ago that Vumatel will call me yesterday to arrange an installation. That call didn't come either. * All this time they're charging me for fibre * I got 14 (yes, 14) emails 2 days ago telling me that (1) my order has now been passed to the installation team and at the same time that (2) that the order has now been closed. *I was called from their social media team yesterday and promised a call-back this morning. So far, radio silence
Btw, the person that promised me yesterday that she will speak with the person responsible on the Vumatel side and update me, has instead let me know that she has now 'escalated' the issue to your installations team. Yet another promise made and broken. This issue has been escalated at least 5 times in the last 2 weeks, only for nothing to happen, so surely there would be little point in escalating it again as the team that it gets escalated to seems as *********** and no-caring as your first-line agents. How they get away with such sub-par standards is impossible to comprehend.
Do you treat all your customers like dreg, or just me?
In my work this sort of behaviour would not be tolerated and if I didn't improve I would be disciplined. It seems however that there are no consequences to your employees for lies, deceit and incompetence, which goes a long way to explain why your service is so consistenly indescribably useless.
If you cannot deliver the simple service I'm requesting then have the ***** to say so, refund me the money you've been charging me and let me find another provider that actually cares about my business.

So yesterday I phone your call centre, was on the line for 45 (yes, 45) minutes, was told the supervisor won't talk to me and that she (the agent) would call me back today. No surprise, that call never came.
So I phoned again tonight, and was told that Vumatel cannot come and install their box because OpenServe is still active at my address. This is not true, and I already mailed the proof that the previous tenants had their service relocated from here to their new address.
Then she changed her story and said that my address was not 'network ready' and that I need to find out from the body corporate if Vumatel can install lines here, or only Openserve.
She also told me that the last update on my account was done on the 14th - 4 days ago. As to why the person assigned to my case has not called me over the last 4 days to give me this news, she did not know. Seems at Vodacom you get paid whether or not you do your job, lekke lekke.
What a circus you orchestrate, it's quite incredible that of the 25 people I've spoken to (27 if we include you here at HP and the agent on Facebook) not a single one of you are able to do the very simple task of enabling fibre at my house.
How long still?

Which is as untrue as it is idiotic.
Clowns.

I pray to God that you will soon be on the receiving end of such pathetic and inexcusable service so that you can experience it from the other end.
May I never ever have to deal with you ever again.
You should be ashamed of yourself

I have no choice but to cancel, and now you want me to wait 30 days, for which I have to pay, even though you've not provided a service for 7 weeks and will not deliver a service in the forseeable future as you seem to be unable to do something as simple as that.
Worse, and incomprehensible, no other provider can actually install fibre until you cancel the line on your side so not only do i have to pay you R1600 for 2 months when you did not deliver a service, but now another R800 for another month in which you cannot deliver a service.
What sort of people are you?
