VODACOM - AGAIN!!!

30/01/2017:

Spoke to mr Mpho, to cancel existing contract, with request to retain cell number and use phone on pre-paid basis only. He offered alternative package instead (comprising R200-00 airtime, 250 mb data, free caller ID for 24 months) for R139.00 (VAT inclusive).

I requested time to reconsider this offer, and spoke to Ms Tracy on 31/01 (time of call 11:04, call duration 16 min 20 sec), who confirmed same package at same price. I accepted, asked for an email address to confirm deal in writing, but she could'nt supply one. Instead, she sent me a quotation, with description "NO PHONE + TOP DOG VOUCHER @ R139 Reduced Sub PM ON uChoose Flexi 200".

However, under the heading "Total Due VAT incl", the amount is indicated as R240.49.

I phoned again, this time to ********** , to query different price. Time 12:31, held on for 07min 59 sec, but had no answer.

Again, at 13:47, called and held on for 3 min 22 sec, but call dropped whilst explained to mr Sibiso. Phoned again, at 13:51 call time 17min 25 sec, and spoke to ms Gloria. She explained that 3 amounts on written quotation , namely SMS bundle 100 @ R33.00, 250mMB @ R59.00 and VAS -caller Identity Subscription @ R9.50, would automatically fall away when the invoice generated on 03/02/2017.

On 04/02/2017, @ 09:23 call time 49 min 45 sec, I called again, after realizing that invoice in fact reflects R230-69. I spoke to ms Siphiso, was put through to accounts ( ********** ), then again to 082111, and spoke to ms Kinswana. She explained that a dispute must be logged/lodged. I was put through to ms Abigail, who removed the sms and data additional amounts, but could not do anything re caller ID. She consulted with the solutions team, and I was then put through (or call handed over) to ms Anele, who would have logged a service request, regarding the extra free caller ID charge. I was told that I would receive a sms with reference and a call from the service team by (the latest) 07/02.

I am still waiting for that call.

My invoice on Vodacom web, still shows an amount far in excess of the quoted and accepted R139.00.

Is this the way Vodacom "deal" with clients? Is this only a Vodacom issue, or are all cell phone suppliers the same way inclined?

Or are these actions just indicative of how customers are treated, without response to just tire them out, in order that they simply give up and pay the invoices generated?

I am disgusted!!!

Dallers

"Contact with you in due course"..............the clock is ticking, and all contact I had thus far, is yet another email statement on 13/02. According to the statement, the invoice amount still stands at R230.69.

That is still a far cry off the contracted R139.00 on 31 Jan 2017.

I have indeed received telephonic feedback from mr Faiek Mohammed on 14 Feb 2017 (@ 13:27), explaining that the quoted new contract amount will be effected as from the new invoice date of 03 March 2017.

Mr Mohammed would have sent confirmation of this arrangement per e-mail (to 2 adresses supp****). He was not able to supply me with his contact number.

Unfortunately, I have not received anything yet.
