Vodacom after sales failure, last step before going to the ombudsman
I app**** for a 65" TV plus data with an alcatel router in NOVEMBER. There was no stock so the router was only delivered 22nd Nov and the TV in early Jan. A delivery attampt for the router failed 13 Nov with skynet noting the driver was ****** at gun point. Then Ram delivered the router and it's marked as delivered on their website.
I've made 10 calls to vodacom after sales team. I've had to repeat my situation over and over. Today I spoke to a fourth different floor support agent as not once have I been able to speak to a manager. I've stated that I'm not willing to wait another 48 - 72 hours for feedback and if my line is not activated in the next couple of days that I was going to cancel the deal as I need better connectivity in my home asap.
There's been no urgency, no urgency to apologise, nobody taking accountability for my query, everyone promosing so help but nobody following through on their promises. Vodacom sales are quick and efficient and they close deals in the blink of an eye but the after sales team are terrible at what they do as a whole. 10 phone calls and not a single good experience. 4 different floor support staff and not a single good experience. Not once being able to speak to an actual manager. They're never available no matter what time I call.
At this point I have zero confidence that the complimentary 24 month data I was promised as a means to make up for my inconvenience, will ever be given to me.
Really disappointed. It's been nearly 3 months. My wifes maternity leave has nearly come and gone and the experience has been *****ed by your horrible customer service in the after sales team.
I need action and I need it now. That's the only thing I want feom this review. Someone in a senior or executive posituon to call me, take the details of the query, apologise(with actions) and get my line activated. No more waiting, no more excuses. I'm pretty sure this putrid after sales team are infringing on my consumer rights and that the ombudsman will hear me out when I contact them. Unfortunately I first have to log a complain at vodacom.
