Vodacom (advice from a fellow student)

This is more than just a rating but rather life advice, if you are a student looking to build and improve your life stay far away from Vodacom. I’ve used Vodacom all my life but unfortunately for me I decided to take a phone with them on contact. I don’t know what exactly happened but essentially a debit order was never set up when I opened the contract. When I went in store to enquire about this they keep sending me to different branches. I missed my first ever debit order of R750 with them due to this, so from my side I have to go to a branch monthly to pay for my contract or use their WhatsApp service. This is both draining and frustrating but more than anything has messed up my credit record. I’ve taken months and years to build credit worthiness and a good credit record but due to Vodacom’s lack of care for the individual client. Please note I have more than 10 accounts im paying monthly with not a single missed payment. But now when I check my credit record it seems Vodacom reports arrears every month even though I’m heading in store and paying, I want nothing more than to warn the next person. When credit checks happen you will be seen as the individual that missed 4/5 payments in a year only to find out it’s all Vodacom
