Vodacom - Acquisitions department is not trained & 5 months - still no contract approved
This is a follow up complaint From November 2019 because despite all my efforts to port my number to MTN, Vodacom still has locked my number onto their network and has refused to release my number. I honestly think that the Competition Commission should have a look at the reasons why Vodacom has issues with its system so much so it forces customers to stay on its network. Today I tried again to get a new contract with Vodacom as I am forced to do so to retain my number (which I have had since 2006) and once again Vodacom has come up with another reason to turn down my application. It seems that the error on my account Vodacom supposedly sorted out in November 2019, has not been resolved at all. Therefore after spending 4 hours waiting for the approval on my contract on the system. The agent at Acquisitions told the iPhone agent that a new account has to be opened and ownership has to be transferred up due to the error on the Vodacom system. The iPhone agent then called Vodacom Acquisitions only to be redirected to Vodacom Trade partner (yet another division in Vodacom). The agent at Trade Partner told the iPhone agent that Vodacom Acquisitions is the correct division to call. The iPhone agent called Vodacom Acquisitions again and the Vodacom agent said that THEY ARE NOT TRAINED TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF ACCOUNTS AND IPHONE STORE MUST DO IT. iPhone does not have access to the Vodacom system. This is no surprise to me. Vodacom is such a pathetic and disgraceful service provider. You guys have ability to rival Eskom - thats how bad your service is!!
