Vodacom Accounts Suck

I have been a Vodacom customer for just over a year. I am still waiting for my first detailed invoice. Because of this, I cancelled the debit order and started to pay the account at the bank. In October I went to the Vodacom store to obtain EFT details. This included their account no beginning with an I letter. When setting up the account it would not accept this. I called Vodacom helpline. Answer = the I works. IT DOESN’T!!! I kept on phoning and calling for an answer. Then one person told me the I no. is my reference no. Ok- so what is your account no? We don’t have one - we are a Public Company. So how do I pay you? Go to the bank? How do I pay by EFT?????? This has now gone on for 3 months. I have been into the store about 5 times to get assistance on this. Last week, in store I was speaking to the accounts Dept. and he agreed to send me an email with EFT instructions. Instead, he handed my account over for collection and cancelled access to service. Great Customer Service??? I am still awaiting any correspondence from them. I met with a professional friend who received a call from Vodacom during our meeting. Big problems there too. I am not alone. Cellular providers have NO idea idea what Customer service is, just pay and don’t ask questions. This is not poor service. It is no service.

Maybe I need to explain to Vodacom that HelloPeter is not their Customer Service program!!! When your Customer has asked you for help, made the time to go to your store, made time to send you over 60 sms’s, and NOW someone will call me?
