Vodacom account settled still debited account

I can't believe that we accept such utterly disgusting service in this country. Why do we keep on waisting our hard earner salary on a service which we're not getting?

I settled, closed my contract, my account months ago after being with Vodacom for many years. Why? Because Vodacom is THE MOST EXPENSIVE PROVIDER IN THE COUNTRY. After paying over R1000 pm for a outdated Sony Xperia Z2 which I rarely made calls with... I couldn't take the **************** anymore and decided to close my account and move to Cell C. I requested a settlement letter and paid it in full at the Sandton branch as I was instructed by Vodacom. A week later a phoned Vodacom to confirm that the account was settled. They too confirmed that the account has been settled and closed and that there were no funds outstanding (normally what a settlement letter means). A month later I received an email from Vodacom that I owe them R369.21 and that I have to pay it immediately. I phoned Vodacom to find out what this was for. Every time I get a "clever" consultant telling me that it's an outstanding month's payment. Then they drop the call on me. My question to Vodacom is what does the word SETTLEMENT mean? Settlement means all costs have been taken in consideration and that this is the FINAL AMOUNT PAYABLE. How then, Vodacom, do you get to debit my account still after it HAS BEEN SETTLED IN FULL! I will not pay this R369.21 and I look forward to you trying to get this funds from me. I have all the proof in black and white and you can listen to your voice recordings. I will NEVER do business with Vodacom EVER again. At one stage I was considering going back by getting another device... but not after this. Keep your contracts for yourselves!
