Vodacom account managers are clueless/****y call centre operators and supervisors.

Vodacom head office accounts department has no clue what they are doing. I had one issue wish took 3 months for them to ask the price I have signed for on a renewed data contract. I renewed this contract for 20G at R528 at the Vodacom Chazz store in August stating that there was no fees for previous device outstanding. Yet I got billed fluctuating over R800 for 3 months. When I phoned head office they wanted me to send them the contract the shop gave me. Where is headoffice copy they receive from the shop and on wish they did their billing from is one of the questions I asked? And why must I as a client waste my time fixing their mess that took place between headoffive and the shop, what kind of service is this? By the way Vodacom headoffice none of the shops give you a copy of your contract if you do not ask them, which should be a standard procedure taught to your consultants and a service rendered to your clients . I know this because after this incident I went to 3 different shops at Cradlestone, Clearwater and Keywest to renew contracts and everytime I had to ask them to make me a copy, something I've never had to do in the 9 years I've been your client. After spending hours on the phone with clueless consultants claiming that the extra amount was either VAT (quite the joke pay over R300 on R528) or an outstanding fee on previous device and every time I will point out that it stated on my contract a 0 balance on outstanding device. December was the first month I have been charged correctly but I still have no answer on the amount I have been over charged.

In the same month August as the renewal, I every time as I got a msg that my data was depleted bought a 2G at R149, did this 4 times but yeah got charged extra for data so much so that a bill of R3800 became one of over R6800.

So due to this excellent service I got from Vodacom I cancelled my debit order after logging disputes for both these issues.

On the 21st of December I unfortunately renewed a contract for their Huawei P9 with the R2 000 Woolworth gift voucher special and as a Samsung user took a gamble on this firm. I am still waiting for both Huawei and Vodacom to activate this voucher. I have gone to the store where the contract was reneuwed and phoned them 4 times with no joy. I phoned Vodacom headoffice and they very quickly hand over the bucket to the store as it has nothing to do with them. I phoned the Huawei store which opened a request only after they told me it is not really their promotion but one between Vodacom and Woolworths. Still waiting for that email to appear in my box where my Woolworth giftvoucher is activated. Seems like between Huawei and Vodacom none takes responsibility and they client was fooled by a ****.

Went to the store today to do a simple swap to a nano Sim and got told my account is blocked, I owe R2 000+. I phone and got my automated balance and that stated that I owe over R6 000. When speaking to the first consultant Nomzy, asking what the hel is the balance (in this exact words) see to it that I got two different balances between the shop and headoffice. You use the words "what the hel is going on with my account" the consultant ask me to not use this type of language, please did I curse this Owen using the word "hel". Asking for a Supervisor she drops the call. Finally speaking to the supervisor Robin explaining what all has happened over the past 6 months. She told me that my account is due on the last day of the month. I was never told this when I cancelled my debit order and for the past 3 months I have been paying on or just before the 5th of each month and never did the system block me. When I told her this she started speaking but I interrupted her to tell her but I also renewed a contract October and December and the system did not block me after paying late those months too. I got interrupted by Robin before finishing, her telling me she has just listened to me for 8 min without interrupting me but now I interrupt her. Please the arrogance and incompetence I had to deal with for the past 6 months at the Vodacom call centre is enough to drive every client up the wall.

Please and if Vodacom one day get a manager to phone me they need to see that they know before time exactly what is going on with my account and have definite explanations of all my issues. Not guessing it could be VAT or fees on an outstanding device (yet my contract stated a zero balance when I renewed it).

Train your consultants at the shops to give clients a copy of their contracts as a standard procedure.

If you run a promotion see to it that your gift vouchers is actually valid.

If procedures change because a client change from debit order to self payment, communicate this to them because the contract they closed was for the 5th of each month and if you fail to inform them of the changed procedures do not be surprised them being unhappy with your services.

See to it that your automates balance services coincide with the shop and customer statement they received.

I regret renewing 3 contracts since August 2016, I have another 4 due in the next 4 months and will discontinue them as Vodacom as a service provider cannot seem to close accurate contracts between client, shop and headoffice. Their accounts department obviously have *********** accountants and their call centre consultants knowledge and behaviour is shameful.

Headoffice are also never responsible and expect the client to clean up their incompetence capturing a contract between the shop and themselves. What type of customer service is this?

They used to be one of the best but my experience the past 6 months have proven the opposite. Service in South Africa is becoming an absolute joke leaving clients frustrated, unhappy and mostly loosing out.
