Vodacom account in arrears

I have received a SMS on the 16th May 2017 informing me that my account I ********** -7 has been handed over to Legal Collections.

The not so funny fact is that my Vodacom account has been switched to prepaid for almost two years now. I phoned the contact number given in the sms, but they are unable to assist me. I phone the cancellations department, and the best they can do is to send me a SMS confirming that I am indeed on a prepaid account.

My contract expired on 2016-03-03 and I switched to a prepaid contract.

I expect Vodacom to get their facts straight before sending threatening SMS'es to customers.

I am used to poor service from Vodacom, but this is the icing on the cake.

Correcttion: I have requested a premature contract cancellation quote on the 9th October 2017, but did not accept the quote.
My contract expired on the 3rd March 2016, whereby I immediately changed it to a prepaid contract. I have therefore been on prepaid for more than a year now. Vodacom even cancelled the debit order on their side.
When I login to Vodacom's website, my account does not show in arrears. In fact my prepaid account reflect a positive balance with regards to both airtime and data.

Not happy with the response and Vodacom's tone. I would like to see a usage report for the following MSISDN : ********** 107
My understanding was, that when switching to prepaid, my WHOLE ACCOUNT, account number I ********** / 7 were paid in full and swicthed to prepaid.
In all these months I have not recieved any bill or billing information from Vodacom. I would also like to see a usage report for the MSISDN they are claiming payment for. That sepcific MSISDN can not be in use any more.
Disgusted with the way Vodacom treats customers. I have never been in arrears with any payment to Vodacom. Now they are threatening legal action because of a ***** up on their side.

The last correspondence from Vodacom:
Dear Henros,
I've logged a service request to our Pre-Legal Team and requested that you be called with reference to the outstanding balance.

Hi Ula,
I had a look at the account statement, and it doesnt tell me anything. I have requested an actual usage report for the specific MSISDN in question.
There are a few things that bother me.
1. According to that statement, I have been in arrears for over a year. Yet, I have never received any bill from Vodacom.
2. The sms I received, threatening legal action referred to the folloeing account I ********** / 7 with MSISDN ********** 228. Now the account statement suddenly is for a totally different account.
3. Vodacom's cancellation department could only confirm that I swithched to prepaid. They were unable to confirm when. My understanding was that all my business with Vodacom would be switched to prepaid. Vodacom cancelled the debit order off their own accord after all.
Fact is, Vodacom *****ed up. Now they treat me, the client, like non-payer.

I am still waiting for Vodacom's Pre-Legal Team to contact me. In the meantime they have handed this matter over to a debt collector. This is not on.
I have also requested a Usage report for the MSISDN in queston from Vodacom. They have failed to do so. Just contacted Vodacom's Accounts department. My numbers were changed to prepaid on the 2 April 2016. Vodacom don't seem to be able to prove that this is not a mistake on their side. Please send me a Usage report.
