Vodacom absolutely sucks
I would like to give Vodacom -5 stars.
I have been trying to cancel a contract with them for 8 months now. I went into a Vodacom shop and they say they can't help. I have on multiple occasions spent a few hours on the phone to them and every time nothing happens. I get SMS's saying I will receive final cancellation details but nothing else.
I complain on Hellopeter and get told they will be in touch publicly and then they phone once when I'm in a meeting a meeting and never phone again.
So I go back to the Vodacom shop and they say all I can do it block the debit. So I do that and now Vodacom has reported me to a credit bureau. They don't tell me they have, the credit bureau doesn't contact me, I find out on a credit report.
The contract expired over a decade ago. The only reason I let it roll over month to month was for the odd occasion that it worked better in terms of reception when I was travelling in Africa. I no longer need it and would like to cancel it. It however now seems impossible to do so.
Vodacom is a joke. I am done. I demand you cancel the contract and sort out the credit bureau issue within the week.
No one tried making contact with me. The Vodacom number you may have used doesn't workIanymore. The number provided to me by yourselves ends up with me holding for an hour and nothing isIdone.
I no longer have a South African phone number. The Vodacom one has stopped working in February this year. That said I am still being charged for it still it seems. It is now on my credit profile and needs to be sorted out ASAP. To get in contact with me you have to send me an email.
Is there an ombudsman I can take this up with?
This is a joke.
