VODACOM A MISMANAGER OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION AND ABUSER OF COMMUNICATION RIGHTS!
Good day
I have been querying the communication systems at Vodacom which are dismally lacking. I opened my account in august 2018. They made an error at Makro and charged me what I thought was rightfully the "sim connection fee" They asked in writing preferred debit date which I stipulated as the 25th of each month. Lo and behold not 4 days later on the 4th of September they tried to debit my account of 2 amounts. I escalated the matter, hit blockages or rudeness and ****** and belittlement which I complained both at Makro and through the Vodacom customer care center nothing happened. Fast forward 2019 my account is sitting with a collections agency. Bongani from the collections agency called my workplace on the 22nd of July and when I asked what it was about hee said and I quote "just pay your account" after I asked him for his email address he flat out refused and hung up the phone. When I called back to the customer care they said they could not tell me anything because my account is in collections.
1. Vodacom is beyond swift when wanting their money. 2. When as a customer I query the handling of my financial information there is no response. 3. Since January my statements have been coming as 0.00 I went to northgate, I called customer services, I called the number provided to me "to make payment arrangement" and nothing, no one has been able to give me a resolve. 4. When I called back the collections I was told I can only be told what is wrong with my account once I agree to a payment arrangement,
I will not agree to a payment arrangement without a breakdown of my balance. I will not agree to a payment arrangement without Vodacom coming back to me with detailed feedback as to how they have handled my account since inception. I WILL be escalating the matter to ICASA with a written affidavit of events and the sp**** communication I have received from Vodacom. I will not be paying any legal fees until the steps to having my account in collections are retraced and reviewed to me with proof of attempts to contact me. The consultants claim I provided no alternative number and when they cant reach my cellphone nothing can be done yet they managed to call on 3 separate occasions my place of work including the alternative number for my place of work through the collections department.
Had I refused to pay the full amount owing including the payments they could have said I refused to pay. However as communicated, If a statement is provided to me I was willing to pay amount owing to date.
Can Vodacom provide the proof that as your collections agency says "I refused to pay".
Rectification will be greatly appreciated.
