VODACOM A ****ER OF NOTE!!
I have been going back and forth with Vodacom about added charges of about R148 each month on my account since October. I reported this with their customer care line and eventually their ***** department as I did not consent to any added services or sim or addition of data or whatever they want to call it. Below is the email I sent to their ***** department (I would like to report *****ulent activity on my Vodacom contract ( ***. I took the contract in 2023, and I was on a fixed contract line. In October and November I noticed a changed in my billing and again in November I received a call from a lady saying they are working for vodacom and that my line was an open plan, meaning that my billing will not be the same each month, but they can changed it to the original plan of closed line. I agreed and they advised that this will be effective by the next billing period. I then received another call, saying the same thing and I advised I have already spoken to someone and that my line will go back to the same billing plan, and that will be efdective in my December period.
I noticed that this didn't happen. Again I called vodacom and they advised that the company that's respinsible for the extra charge on my contract was Rewardsco who we tried to call with the agent with no joy at all, she called again the following day while I was on the line, the call was not picked, I asked for the number so that I can call on my side also, she gave me the number ***. I called this number, no one picked up at all. I sent a message to hellopeter with regards to rewardsco, they denied having a subscription on my vodacom account. Last month I called vodacom again, they confirmed that my contracts has two lines and that rewardsco is part of that. I would like to have this resolved and have this investigated as I feel it is *****ulent to have an additional line or contract or plan added to my account without my concent or knowledge, I would also like to have you listen to all the recordings and have the culprit charged with *****. The best solution that the agent did so far was to remove the debit order on this until this is resolved.
I reversed my January debit order, I will pay the right amounts when all these are addressed and resolved.)
Their response on the 8th April reads (Good day Please note that there's no active Vodacom contract under ID number (I removed my ID no. for safety reasons) Regards Brian)
I am really disappointed that a contract that was R228pm has now escalated to R583pm in less than a year and there is no proper explanation or even a way forward. The invoices sent to me are a mess,
These are invoices sent to me from July when I took up the contract to current: 18-31 July 2023 INV HI-16FF8R = R108.86 (Pro-rata) 1-31 Aug 2023= R228.98 INV HI-170DVX (R186.96 for 600MB line rental, R3.47 handset instalment, R9.99 contract cover. 1-30 Sept 2023 INV HI-17JCYH= R257 (R186.96 600MB line rental etc..) 1-31 oct 2023 INV HI-1753K4= R491 (R263 extra on my contract, this is where these problem started, and was told they will be dealt with. of the R263, R146.96 is for 6gb MI once off, R60 1GB once off, R14.78 250mb, R6.98 Voda ticket. 1-30 Nov 2023 INV HI-1891WK= R434.31 ( R185.01 extra of the extra amount R146.96 6gb MI, R13.92 Voda ticket. 1-31 Dec 2023 INV HI-18YHCM= R583 (R354.02 extra on the agreed contract amount, of the amount R293.92 6g once off, R13.92 Voda ticket social media. At this point, I had spoken to 2 agents, 2 agents from regardsco also, who also denied that they had added anything.) 1-30 Jan= R586.87( this is after 3 months of speaking to multiple agents that there was a billing problem, the last one I had spoken to even resolved in suspending the debit order and advising that I contact the ***** department.)
1-29 Feb 2024= R352.99 (You have decided to upgrade from 600mb to 1.2 gb 100min top up, still without my consent and no working sim) 1-31 March 2024= R352.99 1-30 April 2024=R393.20 ( Increased to 1.3gb 100min top up plan) top up advance of R10.61, how does one advance airtime when the SIM card is not working? Why is it that your company is not picking up how they went wrong? You have recorded calls to confirm if and when I had agreed to these changes on my initial contracts, up to date the amount I should be owing are my agreed instalments amounts for the month of Jan till date, and I want my refunds for the months that were charged extra. We can't be going back and forth with this for over 5 months when you have all the records I have. YOUR COMPANY IS A *****STER THAT WANT TO DE***** UNSUSPECTING CONSUMER OFF THEIR MONIES. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT LET THIS GO BELIEVE ME.
