Vodacom a big sham

Before I got my phone contract I googled the best cellphone provider and apparently Vodacom was at the top of the list, obviously a paid review, because never have I experienced so many problems while using MTN or Cell C.

When I app**** for a contract 2 years ago, they kept on telling me "We don't have stock, stock will come Tuesday" "We don't have stock, stock will come Friday" rinse and repeat. After I got absolutely fed up and started getting angry in the store for having to return every time, they finally overnighted my phone to the store, through this entire ordeal, can nobody check the damn system when stock will arrive and give me a proper date?

When I walked out the store with my phone, I started updates and downloads and all of a sudden my airtime was finished, I walked back to the store and told them they didn't load the proper amount, they said I had to actually purchase the data using my airtime otherwise I pay R2 a mb. This would have been great to be told BEFORE I walk out the store, besides this, R2 a mb?? Are you idiots aware that ADSL charges you R1 PER GIG? I then checked that it costs R150 per gig when purchasing data, refer back to my previous statement, R1 PER GIG.

My battery was also defective, it would show a random percentage and then all of a sudden die due to low battery and sometimes when I put it back on charge, it shows, example 60% and charging, yet the phone died. The highest the battery has shown before charging was 91% and as expected, died 20 minutes after being "fully charged".

At random times my network would just cut out completely then I can't send messages, I can't phone, nobody can phone or sms me and I also cannot access the internet. At times this would last 2 hours before my phone would reconnect to the network, and I stay in Goodwood a well network covered area. This almost made me miss a very important meeting as I couldn't access the GPS location.

The alarm in the phone is also completely unreliable, I would set it and double check that it is correct, then it's Russian roulette whether the alarm would go off or not. This completely altered my entire life, since the first time I came late for work, I never had a restful sleep always waking up at random times, sometimes in fear that I overslept.

I also recently googled the value of my phone and then discovered that my insurance premium total over the 2 years is more than the value of my phone, this is not how insurance works.

This pathetic company, also did not inform me that you have to pay a fee to activate caller ID, you are the only idiots that charge this fee, throughout the entire 2 years, I refused to pay you a single cent, so I suffered these 2 years not being able to tell who phoned me, just so that I won't give you another single cent.

With all this, some things life altering, I still walked into your store and gave your agent an opportunity to make things right by giving me a huge discount on my next package to stay with you and she said no. So you will never see me again and I've told many people my experience with you that changed their mind to use your services.
