VODACOM

Dealing with Vodacom is more complicated than buying a home. I have been trying to transfer my husband's name on the phone I have been using for approx 18 years to my name. I have been trying to do this for 10 years. I have correspondence on file from 2018, of the information that I was then told to do, but was still denied transfer. I own my own home and have other properties and am retired. Has Vodacom got something either against women or against retired people? Since my last review on Hellopeter approximately 2 months ago, this is what has occurred: 1 I received a call from Vodacom's head office informing me that I should go back to Vodacom with my transfer papers and tell the consultant to phone the acquisition department with a letter stating that I have joint signing powers on our current account, which I did. 2 I approached Vodacom shop immediately and was told that I had to go on a lesser package and that I would not lose my existing phone call minutes and after a month I would be able to get my transfer. 3 I lost my minutes!!! 4 Went back to Vodacom after a month and after waiting for an hour while the consultant was shuffling papers and looking through papers for an hour I said that I was leaving. 5 I was told that I now needed a "migration" whatever that means! 6 I left after been told that I would be contacted on the Friday afternoon or the Sunday. It is now Tuesday and I have heard nothing. 7 The easy thing would be, is to transfer to MTN, but being a "fighter" I am seeing how long Vodacom will take to actually sort out their departments. 8 The Vodacom shops at shopping Malls are overstaffed, but you still get no help. 9 Have spoken to friends and most of them seem to have problems with Vodacom's administration.
