Vodacom 4Who?
I took out a contract with Yaseem from the V&A branch who had me out of there with my brand new, insured phone in under a hour.
He however, failed to process my debit order, which resulted in Vodacom cutting my service.
This issue was resolved by about 3 of his colleagues, after days of fighting and run around a given by them as he avoided me whenever I was in the store.
Then I got ******.
Handed in my insurance claim and said that I would be notified as soon as it was approved.
I went into the store to find out the same week and they knew nothing and said to contact the insurance.
I contacted the (Vodacom/Cellular City) insurance just got Leslie to tell me that my claimed was processed and approved the same day I have it in. Also that I have to pay a 15% access fee which Yaseem failed to inform me about even after I asked him if I have to pay anything in.
I went to Vodacom 2 days later and about 4/5 times after that - I got stories that I needed to be there before 5, as that's when the insurance guy apparently is there. I went back before 5 and was told to be there before 4. Again, no assistance.
Then I was told that they need to source the phone and that it's not their problem for my situation or inconvenience. Regardless, they said a phone was found in Johannesburg and would be sent within 3 days. I went back a week later for my phone not to be there but rather in the Seapoint branch where I have to go and pick it up. I was told that it would be sent to their V&A store by Wednesday and when I called them today (Wednesday) I was told again to go to the Seapoint branch. I eventually spoke to the insurance manager who said he'll get back to within the next hour or so, which is something all his colleagues have been saying.
It's been about a month and my debit order without fail has gone off for insurance and a phone I don't have.
I've been helped (and I use this word very lightly) by at least 5 Vodacom staff members who all give me different stories and the run around.
I cannot do my work properly and haven't been compensated or sincerely apologized to for this frustrating inconvenience.
I've been calm, cried and even lost my marbles but the V&A staff all just don't seem to care.
They literally just sit with their feet up and chatting and having lunch around their desks, while you stand waiting to be assisted by someone who couldn't care less.
They truly make you feel like an inconvenience for asking for a service you have paid for!
