Vodacom
I app**** for Vodacom Fibre. Last year August 2025 we were told that the house we rented were being sold. That was the last 2 weeks in August. I called Vodacom more than two times to tell them we were ask to move. I gave them the new address. They told me the Fibre line won't work there. I ask them what can we do then. I was told to cancel the line and pay R30 000 for cancelation. I told them that me and my husband lost our jobs and that is ridiculous to pay that much for a cancelation. They did not assist me any further with that matter. So the first of September we arrived at Port Shepstone (KZN). We couldn't move in to the new house yet because there were still people living there. So we went to KZN for a few days. On the 2nd day of September we went to Vodacom Chatz Port Shepstone to resolve the wifi matter with Vodacom. I explained to the lady our situation and she said to me I do not have to cancel my line and pay that cancelation fees. She phoned Pretoria Vodacom branch and told them to do a migration on the Fibre line to home internet. After spending 3 days at Vodacom Chatz in Port Shepstone Vodacom still did not assist me in any way. In fact they decided to rather ask their lawyers to talk to me. I told the lawyers the same. Vodacom failed to help me with wifi. It's now June 2026 and still no wifi whatsoever. Just bills pilling up. For me it's unfair to pay for something I don't even have. My son is homeschooling so I had to get new wifi for him to study and write exams. I really don't have an issue to pay for wifi but then I need it to be installed and ready to use. Which vodacom failed to do. Now they saying that we are breaching the contract. We are not. We are still waiting for the wifi to be delivered. I believe that Vodacom is breaching the contract with me by not assisting me. For me it is unfair to pay for something that you do not have or use. This is not my fault at all. I did what I could to get Vodacom to help me but they didn't. I tried calling Vodacom Fibre department but as soon as I put my ID number in the nothing. I also would like Vodacom to understand that they have no reason to involve my minor son with this since they have being sending him messages to pay the bills. This has nothing to do with him. Like I said if Vodacom actually brought us the wifi or tried to assist us I wouldn't have any problems paying them but now they want me to pay for nothing.
