VODACOM

In June 2019 I phoned Vodacom cancellations department to cancel a contract whose last payment would be at the end if that month (June 2019). I still have a curent "new" contract and did not need the second one. My last account, before I cancelled, reflected a balance of 1.2gb data, 399 anytime voice and 400 sms's. When I tried to use the phone on Thurs 11 July I realised that my balances were all 0.00! No data, no airtime, no minutes. I phoned Vodacom customer care to complain and on Frid 12 July I received a sms to say that my query was resolved. I decided to wait until Sat 13th to check balances and still nothing. I called again and was told Vodacom would give me 2gb of data i asked how they could resolve a problem if no one from Vodacom had called me?..I was told that when moving from contract to prepaid I can't carrt over balances. I argued that that was very unfair and that no one from Vodacom had ever told me, not once even hinted at the fact that this would happen which may have made me rethink cancellation at that stage. I paid for 2years and Vodacom allowed me to accumulate my balances...how do they just get to take it from me with no warning? I was told on Sat that someone from the cancellations Dept would phonr me as it was their fault that I wss not informed of what would happen on cancellation. I have yet to hear from them. I just want back what was mine and what I paid for. I've been a loyal customer of Vodacom for almost 15 years and have paid thousands of rand in contract fees. This is a disgrace and I will not settle for anything but the return of what I paid for. My reference is ***
