Vodacom

Upgraded my Vodacom contract got a new iPhone XS. 3 Months later iPhone (still under warranty) does an automatic software update over wifi. Battery goes flat I plug it in iPhone suddenly gives error message "contact support..." stuck in iTunes mode. Take it to Sandton City for repair where I upgraded my Vodacom contract. Repair technician says it's a software issue later says no it's a firmware issue it needs to be booked in and sent to the Advanced Repair Centre "ARC" couple days later go pick up iPhone. Happy as can be thought me iPhone is fixed get home to set up my iPhone (notice bit of grey glue on side of screen and finger prints so I clean iPhone with wet cloth) (apple ID, install all my apps, email etc) because they had to completely wipe and reset the phone in order to repair it (lost all my data, contacts, whatsapp messages etc). Long story short get home to set up iPhone roughly 10 to 15min into setting up my iPhone screen starts to flicker eventually completely turns black and an siren went off in between. So I take it back for a 2nd time to Sandton City for repairs technician says it won't take long to fix because it's a "Bounce" they send back again to the Advanced Repair Centre. Advanced Repair Centre comes back saying the phone sustained "liquid damage". Vodacom Sandton City after I follow up with them because Vodacom won't get back to you after they promise they will and after I gave them plenty of time. So they quote me R8000 for a "service stock device" initially it was R12000 so I hear Vodacom is willing to give me a R4000 discount. I'm like what?! The Iphone is dust, water resistant IP68 certified meaning it is water resistant up to 2 meters for 30 minutes according to Apple's website. So Vodacom did a terrible job at fixing my iPhone and now tries to shift the blame to me! When they broke my iPhone still under warranty. And nobody at Vodacom seems to have any sense of logic when they broke my iPhone and now does nothing about it and refuses to issue me with a new phone. Instead they try to sell me some bull**** excuse (because they are completely and utter *********** at what they do) to buy a new iPhone because I broke the phone. Now I'm stuck with a Vodacom contract without a working phone and they happy to collect their money at the end of every month...and nobody at Vodacom seems to care less!!!
