After noticing irregularities in my monthly bills, I contacted Vodacom to find out what was happening. They told me that the extra charges were for subscriptions to Mira networks and some other ***** name. I never subscribed for any services and my only contract is with Vodacom, whom I trusted with my debit order details. They keep on telling me to sort this out with Mira networks. A quick search on the internet exposes Mira networks as a bunch of **********, known for *****ing money from cell phone accounts through so called "double opt in subscriptions". Vodacom must have known about these ********s since at least 2013, yet they do nothing to protect their non-suspecting customers. I will in principle not beg a ********* to refund me the money he stole from me. I do however hold Vodacom liable for allowing these ****bags to ***** my money by using a debit order I signed in good faith. Vodacom should also proceed with ******** action against mira and their ilk but it is a lot easier to just shrug and tell their customers to keep their problems to themselves. This is disgusting behaviour from a corporate!
