Vodackm Complaint
Good day Vodacom - more specifically Mr Shameel Joosub,
Doubtless you will read this letter, as you have at least a thousand other dissatisfied customers to ignore and also another one of those crucially important golf moments to attend to. But it is honestly far more satisfying as a soon-to-be-ex customer to voice my grievances in writing than to shout them at your never-ending hold music or puppet-on-a-string Customer Care Agents. Forgive me therefore if I continue.
Please allow me to provide specific details, so that you can either pursue your professional prerogative and seek to rectify the situation – or more likely (I suspect) so that you can have some entertaining reading material as you while away the working day drinking espresso coffee on your office patio.
1. Vodacom is apparently a Company that aims to deliver unmatched Customer experiences. Well, this morning my experience was truly unmatched but not positive. My recently uplpaded data just vanished like magic. This is not the first time this has happened and I can't let this go again. Because as you know, what we allow will continue. What I identified is that say for instance I purchased 1G of data on the 14th of June for a month and say 2 weeks after that I purchase another 1G of data for a month. Instead of Vodacom finishing using the 1st purchased data, you don't because once the 1st data expires, all of a sudden the 2nd sipposed 1G os almost depleted. How does that even make sense and it has now happened time and time again. It is almost a changenof lanes transaction. You do however know that this is pure and simple theft and dishonesty. How do you even sleep at night. And don't tell me that this is the 1st case because I did my research and due dilligence and there have been numerous reporrts of data vanishing or depleting abnormally. And yet, this issue has not been resolved. Why notbis the question?
2. I reckon Vodacom must think their Customers are ridiculously stupid. You promote Vodacom 4 U, however in some cases the normal purchasing of data is cheaper that the so called promo. I also believe that my 13 year old can creatively thumb-suck better deals than you have on offer. You actually pay the individuals that think up such nonsense?
3. Further, in terms of your Vodabucks, it is a pure waste and really unimaginative. 90% of the rewards are irrelevant and finds its way to file 13. For the August draws O had over 4000 entries for the R100 000 and aboit 2000 for the 10Gigs. I think these comps are bogus. So much for Vodacom being transparent.
I now believe that Vodacom has, against the vision of an Alan Knott-Craig or Andrew Mthembu, now become one of those “giants” that likes things their own way and definitely succeeding in getting the customer to pay for it! What do you in response to that Shameel?
I request that you don't get a Customer Care Agent to call me, as more than likely I have been with Vodacom in both capacities as employee and customer, for longer than her/she has been out of nappies or even a thought and I don't have the time or energy for the latter to provide me with fairytale type feedback that he/she is reading from the Vodacom manual: "Typical Answers to give Customers for Our historical and current Mistakes".
So grow a pair and rectify and improve the situation with no excuses. Take accountability as it might just be surprisingly liberating.
I am not holding ny breath for a positive reply.
Thank you kindly, Joleen Smith M: ***
