Vodacare, Tygervalley: Worst contract experience ever

I have always been a satisfied Vodacom prepaid customer. Seeing the good service, I have received in the past years, I went to pursue a Wi-Fi device contract with Vodacom. Until today I regret making that decision. It has been the worst mistake ever. I was given a modem instead of a router and I app**** for a 20GB data plan but the system captured 10GB. I went up and down trying to solve this, but Vodacare refuse to help me. I have been called a **** indirectly and I have been embarrassed and laughed at at the store when I asked for help. I feel my rights as a costumer has been violated. At some point Vodacare agreed to exchange the modem for a router and I submitted the modem. When I went back to the shop, they told me there is no such agreement and they can't help me. I have spent so much time and petrol for driving from Goodwood to Tygervalley as well as money scanning and emailing documents to different people in the Vodacom offices. When my case was with Vodacom Customercare, I got a peace of mind that everything would be resolved in no time. After over 20 days, Customercare advised me that I should go back to the shop (where I felt I was being embarrassed and laughed at and where they refuse to help me in the first place) so that they can assist me. I went back as advised hoping customercare and Vodacare Tygervalley had communicated to resolve the issue. When I arrived they told me customercare/head office should deal with it because there is nothing they can do about it. The Vodacare advised me to return the next day with the contract and all documents which I did, but I got the same reply: There is nothing we can do. When I call customercare they advised there is nothing they can do on their side that only the shop can cancel my contract (since I opened my contracted at Vodacare Tygervalley) and that Vodacom has given them a go-ahead to cancel the contract.

I have been paying every month since February 2017 for a device I don't even have and Vodacom messed up my contract and they refuse to assist me. I feel customercare also was unfair to me since they keep on referring me to people instead of solving the problem. The manager at the shop cannot assist me (and he was rude about it) and customercare services as well as head office cannot assist me; Even though Vodacom is the one responsible for the contract mess-up situation and the poor customer is the one paying for this whole mess. A big company like Vodacom treating customers this way is unacceptable.

Right now I want to just cancel this contract and have nothing to do with Vodacom Contract again. After such a treatment, I would never recommend any contract with Vodacom, there are a lot if networks with better services and kinder people than this.

I am still waiting for a solution. Vodacom clearly doesn't value their customers enough
