Voda Insurance refuses to pay up a claim

In October I got a combo of Samsung A33s for both myself & my Mom. I insured mine as I’m always on the streets & sometimes knock off late. During Dec holidays I was almost ****** in from of our flat. They had already taken the fone but some of the guys from the flat saw them & they chased after them. The one guy threw the fone on the floor while running as the guys were closing in on them. I got my fone back but noticed the screen was badly smashed. I had a busy December so I could not take the fone in during that period so I only took it to Vodacom for repairs 1st week of January. Last week Vodacom called to inform me that the damage on my fone costs R2800, I then asked was that my access as I’m paying insurance for the fone. They then asked for the number I was using on the device that I had insured & I gave them, the lady then said that the number shows that it’s insured under a Hwawei P40 that I had never owned before. I went to the store on the 9th and they admitted that they made a mistake & rebooked my Samsung & promised to call me the next day and there was no call. On the afternoon of the 10th I went back to the Vodafone repair shop & I was informed that the insurance declined the claim due to the insured sim not being used on the same fone. They then asked me for the 2nd sim MIE number because they apparently could not obtain the one for sim1 & this is information that I obviously could not have with me(I bought the device from them so they are the ones who should be having all this information). Also, I asked them if the fone was lost how were they going to find this information & I got no answer.. I was then told that I needed to go back to the Vodashop I had bought the device from & request for a copy of the documents they had sent to the insurance. Today u went back to the store I’d taken the contract from & the guy assisting me was surprised that I had been taken from pillar to post for information that they should have in front of them via the system. He also was surprised when I told him I was told to collect a document that they had sent to insurance & confirmed that there was no such document. Everything is being done on the system. He then called insurance for me & this time their reason for the decline they said was because I had booked in the device late. I am very disappointed & appalled by this treatment. It was December I was busy & I was even away from Pretoria at some & only got back on the 2nd, I could not take the fone with me & book it where I was coz I knew I was coming back & didn’t know how long was it going to be booked in for. Voda insurance is taking people for a ride, they cannot refuse fixing my fone because I booked it late. I want my fone fixed, I’m paying a lot of money for it.
