VODA FRANCHISES CHARGING CARTE BLANCHE PRICES
Franchises: I never realised that all the different Voda shops were franchises, and could therefore give different information and charge differently for services. I thought the Head Office keeps a watchful eye on all of them to keep some sort of conformity. I was quite astounded when I visited GREENACRES/THE BRIDGE SHOPPING CENTRE IN PORT ELIZABETH today and asked at the Voda shop next to the Postnet/Game entrance how much it would cost to cut a SIM card to transfer it to another phone for my son, which took a smaller SIM card. I was quoted R299 for the cut (special sim cutter was required they said), and another R50 for transfer of information. I went to another Voda Shop opposite the Mug and Bean where I was quoted R70 to give me another sim card on my contract after answering some security questions, and was told that to cut a sim card was dangerous as it could be irreparably damaged, and they they didn't offer that service..... Now is this disgusting or what?
