Voda-em-out

12 November 2025, I app**** for Vodacom Fibre installation.

The morning of 20 November 2025, Thursday, just before 11:00, I phoned Vodacom for a status update regarding the delivery and installation; Reference number (A***). I repeatedly reiterated that I wish to ascertain the status of delivery and installation. The Call Centre Agent at the time due to her extreme lack of competence and drive failed to execute this simple task. This call lasted 10 minutes and nothing was achieved. This indeed resulted in a wasted and fruitless phone call.

As a result from the above, I visited Vodacom Somerset Mall to assist but not surprisingly, they couldn’t assist either. Once again my time was wasted.

Subsequent to the above, I tried the Call Centre again, but failed to get through due to the long duration of call centre agents answering the call. Once again, my time was wasted.

On Thursday (4 December 2025) at approximately 14:00, I visited Vodacom Somerset Mall again and insisted that this issue be resolved asap. They couldn’t assist and suggested I contacted the Call Centre. This after I repeatedly indicated the issue with the Call Centre. Vodacom Somerset Mall called the Call Centre on my behalf. During this call, I had to repeat information already given due to Vodacom’s retardedness and gross miscarriage of good service. Siseko (“cc’d herein) telephonically indicated that delivery and installation will take 3 working days. Yesterday (8 December 2025) was 3 working days and nothing was delivered. Once again, my time was wasted as by now, this longstanding issue was to be resolved.

Today, 9 December at just after 15:00, Ram just delivered the parcel in question and when asked about installation, I was told that they do not do installation. By now I’m beyond ****ing confused.

I immediately phoned Vodacom Somerset Mall to urgently get an email address and phone number of someone in charge. Nazley couldn’t assist and asserted “I don’t have anyone’s phone number or email address from Vodacom” which I ****ing ******-hell don’t believe. Once again, my time wasted.

Considering the above, I now have router which I am supposed to install myself due to Vodacom’s below par and dismal service? As if I’m a Technician? You’ve got to be ****ing kidding me!

I require the fibre installation for work purposes, not fun and games, hence the urgency hereof.

In addition to the above and notwithstanding a month of a delay, for absolutely nothing, and the frustration caused, for absolutely nothing, my time phoning for absolutely nothing and driving to a Vodacom shop, for absolutely nothing, I hereby have absolutely no other option but to approach other ISPs (Vodacom competition).

I approached Vodacom to support its business, the least that Vodacom could do was to treat with me respect. However, I received a gross miscarriage of disrespect towards someone willing to support their livelihoods.

Furthermore, even if Vodacom provides me with the said service at R1.00 per month, I’m not interested account to my extremely disgusted experience from them.

In concluding, I refuse and therefore will not pay this router, nor a service which I did not receive. Notwithstanding the above, if my account gets debited by Vodacom for a service which I did not receive, I will be compelled to take this matter further with Vodacom, as Vodacom will be acting *********ly by deducting money from my account for services not rendered and will thus be deemed as *****.

My relationship with Vodacom hereby comes to an end.

Deuces!!

Reviewer Update
I’m still waiting for a Consultant to revert. It’s been two months.

I’ve decided to go with a different ISP instead which was a breeze. Only issue is Vodacom ofcourse.

They advised that the Vodacom account should be cancelled prior to them proceeding. Vodacom store can’t trace anything account relating to my details. They have however indicated that my account is with Legal due to non-payment. You’ve got to be ****ing kidding me. How the **** is my account with Legal due to non-payment when it’s been two months of not receiving any account or anything relating to same? They suggested I contact *** and what a coincidence, *** can’t trace my account either to be cancelled.

So now because of Vodacom, I don’t have internet. Due to Vodacom, I can’t sign up with another ISP. Due to Vodacom not sending me an account, my account is in arrears. Due to Vodacom, my account which is in arrears is no where to be found. Due to Vodacom not being able to trace my account, which is with their Accounts and Legal section, cannot cancel this account. Now I have a Fibre account with no Fibre which is in arrears and can’t be cancelled. What a ****ing story.

How the **** is Vodacom still in business when its service is so beyond ****ing pathetic.

I need someone from Vodacom to contact me asap to cancel the account. This account should be cancelled asap!!!
