Very rude Store Manager

On Wednesday 7 December my wife bought a Tempered Glass Screen Protector from the Vodacom Data Store in Tyger Valley for her new Samsung S7 that she received on the same day.

I am also using a Samsung with tempered glass and it was clear that in some way it was not put on correctly. You had to press extremely hard when typing on the screen.

Over the weekend, the bottom of the screen cover started going loose and the glass started catching on things, resulting in the glass starting to pull off.

She went back to the shop today (Monday) after which they claim the phone had fallen and it was our mistake. The phone can be checked, there are no marks of any fall that occurred.

My wife requested to speak to the store manager. The manner in which she was addressed was very unprofessional and she left the store. She phone me in tears, shortly afterwards.

I have phoned the manager (Neville), trying to understand the issue and why she was upset. I was also addressed in an aggressive manner and was told that he had made his decision and will not help us.

He also went on to say that he will not be paying for a new cover from his salary. I cannot see how Vodacom would ever expect this from their staff.

All we expected was professionalism from a store manager that will at least listen to the customer’s problem.

What happened to the excellent service we have always experienced from Vodacom in the past?
