Very poor service

Vodacom debited R23000 off my account on 31.5.2017. I called my bank to reverse the debit order as i'd not authorized such payment.I called their customer care on 1 June 2017 to enquire why & was told my account was over the limit. I asked how as all I had was a iPad tablet which I hardly use & only get data for internet access for from vodacom as well as a very old laptop which I only get data for email access on. Both the data is capped so it can't go over the limit. I told them I reversed the debit order.I learnt via their resolutions office on 1.6.2017 that there are accounts opened under my name ( **********ly) for top of the range, open business line Samsung cellphones in vanderbijlpark as well as in mpumalanga vodacom branches in April 2017 ( places I've never been to). Worse still I don't possess any Samsung phone & don't have any cellphone contract with vodacom that I app**** for.my cellphone contract is with MTN.Resolutions 'flagged my account' for ***** & asked that I submit an affidavit ( from police station),ID copy & three copies of my signature ( which I did on 6.6.2017) & call their ***** team on ********** 876.In the interim I spoke to my bank's ***** team who advised me to request fica documents used to open these ********** account, from vodacom.on 5.6.2017 I called vodacom resolutions office again requsting the fica documents & was told there are no fica documents. I asked how accounts are opened without fica & was told it was probably an 'inside job'. I called ***** team for days since 2.6.2017with no responses & eventually spoke to a lady there on 7.6.2017. I related my story ,also forwarded email of documents to her direct email as well ( as she requested) . I asked about the fica document issue & she advised that resolutions can't say there are no fica documents so I asked for fica documents used to open ********** accounts. She advised she'd get back to me the following day. She didn't call back so on 9.6.2017 I tried calling, no responses. I eventually reached her & she advised someone is dealing with my matter & will get back to me. I've not heard back from her or vodacom since. I call ***** team frequently for over a month now, no one answers. I email this lady & vodacom ********** & my emails go unanswered.

im still waiting for the fica documents I requested. My bank advised that I need those fica documents to be able to be able to open a police case & escalate the matter further ( legally) as I'm not getting assistance from vodacom. I want to cut all ties with vodacom but can't even do that because there is this pending matter for which I'm getting no feedback.

very disappointed with such poor service!!!

This is ridiculous! How *********** can vodacom be?
i just got this email notification from them:
Dear Valued Customer
This email serves to inform you that your Vodacom contract could be temporarily converted to a Top Up Collections price plan due to non-payment and your account being in arrears.
What is a Top Up Collections price plan?
The Top Up Collections price plan replaces your previous Vodacom contract price plan.
This is a temporary arrangement until such time that your account has been brought up to date.
While on the Top Up Collections plan, you will need to recharge with Vodacom Prepaid vouchers to continue using Vodacom services, e.g. making and receiving calls, sending and receiving SMSs or accessing the Internet using data.
Top Up Collections price plan rates will be app**** for all Vodacom services you utilise while on this plan. These rates may differ from those on your previous contract price plan.
steps
Please contact the Subscriber Collections Contact Centre on ********** to discuss payment arrangements.
Once your total arrears amount has been paid in full, you will be moved back to your contract service which may be pro-rated if you are converted mid-month. Your contract will be extended for the period that your line has been on Top Up.
How does this benefit you?
Whilst paying off your arrears amount, you will remain connected to the Vodacom Network and retain your cell phone number.
You can continue to use your SIM card as normal by simply purchasing airtime and additional bundles through the following channels:
by dialling *111#,
using the Vodacom App,
visit any Vodacom Store or
visit Vodacom.co.za
Kind regards
The Vodacom Team
