Very poor/non-exciting customer service

Claim no EC-0CL9-2CZQWH

I am really starting to get irritated with the service i have received from Vodacom, please see some of the communication that was done by me.

I feel that Vodacom has no respect for me as a paying customer, and that they are misusing there Warranties clause as a M4 Aqua cannot receive any water damage as it is a 100% water proof phone, body sweat and condensation cannot damage a phone like this. I really feel that I am abused in this fashion by a major corporation, and they are just happy to ignore me because the are receiving my monthly installments each month end.

Vodacom you need to assist me asap.

The mail below was send on the 02/05/2017

I has now been a couple of weeks since I have mailed Vodacom with my issues, can someone please respond to my mails as this is really getting ridiculous, I simple reply should not take a couple of weeks…

I will give you a chance to tomorrow end of business day, if you do not come back to me with proper feedback I will then escalate my issues and I will take this public.

A new issue, I am paying for a contract each month, and even now that you took my phone and told me that it is unrepairable due to water damage I am still paying my Vodacom bill. It just shows if you are a good customer with no previous issues and you raise an issue that there will be to customer service at all, I am really disappointed in the lack of customer service, there is no communication and I am left in the dark.

Kind Regards

The mail below was send by Vodacom on the 19/04/2017

Good Day

We have been having system problems since last week and this has caused a problem in communication coming through this system. Our IT team is still working on this. It was not my intention not to respond to your emails. I am also not justifying this , I am merely making you aware why I was not responding.

Regards
Portia

The mail below was send on the 19/04/2017

It has almost been a week since I have emailed you, can you please respond as I would like to know what is going on.

Kind regards

The mail below was send on the 13/04/2017

Good day

I have recently taken my phone in for repairs as it is barely a year in use and it is still covered by vodacom’s warranty. This phone is a Sony Ericson M4 Aqua, Vodacom the notified me that my phone will not be repaired/replace due to the fact that the warranty is voided because of water damaged…

OKY first of all, how can this be, it is a water proof phone that has not been under water. The phone does not even have a scratch on it as it has been in a cover with a screen protector from day one. The technician then said that condensation also plays a role in water damage, really again this is a M4 Aqua, how can this phone be damaged by condensation???

I have been at Vodacom since the early 2000 when I was still at school, I have never claimed any damages and now when the phone misbehave and does not function as it should, it cannot be repaired or replace due to “water damage”. Please take this matter up with Sony Ericson as this seems like false advertising, how can you advertise and then sell a phone on this premise, stating that this is an Aqua phone.

Vodacom I am seeking results as this matter is completely ridiculous and totally *********, I need you to keep to your warranty policies and replace my phone due to the fact that it can’t be fixed and this is utter nonsense have condensation “water” damage on a water proof cellular device…

If you don’t assist me in this matter I will gather all my information and make it public, I will make complaints to all the relevant people and you will lose me as a client because how can such a statement be made.

When can I expect to receive any feedback on this matter?

Kind Regards

Vodacom customer name and details:

HENDRIK ADRIAAN SCHOELER

********** 136081

********** 376

********** 708
