Very frustrated, Disgruntled Customer - Why does it take almost three months to obain a wi-fi router that is functional?

I originally upgraded (online) from a two gig data package to the 10gig daytime/10gig nighttime package for R139-00. This was confirmed as per Reference No.1- ********** ********** – Bytes Consultant, Gloria on 14 November 2017

Unfortunately 'two' upgrades were done for me. One for my original number, which is ********** 880 - (This is the correct one) Then another contract was drawn up on ********** 322?

When the router was delivered I unknowingly signed for the 'incorrect' one, at this stage not being aware that there were two contracts in place.

I spent 'days' trying to get through to someone who could assist and an immense amount of time before talking to Sasha-Lee on 29 November. You are welcome to check – I spoke to about six consultants on that day alone. On this day she arranged cancellation of the ********** 322 contract - Reference No. 1- ********** ********** She also arranged a new upgrade on ********** 880 - Reference No. 1- ********** **********

Below is an email confirmation from Portia at Bytes to confirm the contract cost at R139-00 plus the free 20gigs of data. This needed to be confirmed to me because I was told that my contract is to be R199-00 monthly?

Good day

Ms Muller the order for the upgade that you have done on the 2017-11-14 for 10gb anytime data and 10gb night owl and the router iam going to send it to commercial so that you get the upgrade with the same price for R139, and we are going to activate the free 20gb for free for 1 month after you received the simcard and the Router on the ********** 880 . On 22 December at 13h55 Sasha-Lee Gopie (Bytes) confirmed telephonically that my contract will be R129-00 monthly. (due to all the inconvenience to me)

She also confirmed via email that she will arrange delivery of the ‘incorrect router and refund monies that was debited to my account.

I have since sent her numerous emails to which I have had no response.

Vodashop Vredenburg phoned her on my behalf on Thursday 25 January when I returned the ‘third’ faulty router. She acknowledged that she was aware of my situation but said she has no access to her emails and ‘could not’ give me an alternate email address? How does this make sense?

What is wrong with these routers that one has to wait almost three months to obtain a router that is functional? And why is it so impossible for me to rather keep the ‘functional’ router that I have in my possession? Only because it was ordered Online?

I would like to bring to your attention that I am living in Velddrif, West Cost (Cape Town). The closest Vodashop is at Vredenburg Mall - 24k's away. As you can imagine I have been forced to drive up and down on numerous occasions, either to collect a new router, or to return a faulty router. At this stage I am once again waiting for ‘another’ new router to be delivered, for collection at Vredenburg Vodacom. Another wasted trip in the offing?

In September my sister became very ill and I opted to give up my day job to take care of her on a permanent basis so I am not financially sound at all, apart from being almost 60 years old. Since the additional gigs have just been extracted from my account, I would sincerely appreciate your consideration to rather giving me a new smart phone? I am currently using an S4 which I purchased in 2013 and it does not operate as it used to. Unfortunately I am not in the position to purchase a new phone or take out another contract at all.

Please help !!! Thanking you in anticipation.

Kindest regards Petrina Muller ********** 450
