VERY disappointed in Vodacom!!
I am very disappointed in Vodacom. They claim to be the best in the business but I will say otherwise. Me and my brother have Vodacom contracts on my mom’s name as we are still young. My mom passed away in March. Automatically everything gets frozen and the debit orders can’t go off. So Vodacom suspended our phones after 6 months of no payment. On the 29th of September we went to a Vodacom store in Benoni @ Lakeside Mall to do a change of ownership. I filled the documentation in and paid our accounts in full for the six months they didn't receive payment. Consultant 10 said she will send the documentation in to process the change of ownership and our phones will be unsuspended within 5 hours. Nothing happened. The next day our phones were still suspended. I phoned Vodacom Customer Care to ask them what happened and the lady threw the phone down in my ear. I moved to Limpopo because of a new job and still my phone didn't work. After NUMEROUS emails my phone was unsuspended and suspended on and off. The emails I keep getting from them says that I need to go into a Vodacom Shop to do a change of ownership although I attached the documentation done on the 29th of September EVERYTIME. Last week I phoned again and spoke to Sipho- the Manager. He put me on a conference call with the accounts department. I told him that I am paying two contracts which I can’t use in any way- we can’t receive calls, make calls or receive sms’s. They told me that Vodacom DELETED our contract and they can’t retrieve it. The accounts department told me I need to do a change of ownership AGAIN and send an email explaining my query AGAIN after I’ve done this countless times before. Our phones are still suspended after a month and a half with no help whatsoever. I’m on the verge of cancelling my contracts with them as the service is very poor. I hope once they see this review they will help me with a situation I had NO control over!
