Very disappointed!

I bought an iPhone 6 Plus from Vodacom when it was released a few years ago, the phone was part of a batch which had a faulty camera. It never really affected me but I was allowed a free camera replacement so in October I sent it into Vodacom to have the camera replaced. Not only did it take them over a month to complete a 1 hour job, but after collecting my phone from Vodacom I tried to set it up, got to the Touch ID section of the setup and it instantly said failed. I skipped it, rebooted my phone, updated the software, re installed the software and it still says failed. The screen had a tempered glass protector on which was installed by a professional before the phone was sent into repairs, when it came back it had a plastic cover which has been very poorely installed on the phone. I took my phone to a repair store and they said that if the Touch ID is failing then it is a hardware issue. Clearly the technicions at Vodacom have either ****** my screen and put on a **** one, or have damaged my phone and for some reason removed my tempered glass protecter which was completely unnecessary as the phone was going in for a back camera replacement. I called the advanced repair centre and they said that i must send the phone back in and they will assess it.

I sent the phone in and received a call from the advanced repair centre saying that the phone must be replaced and I must R5500 for them to replace the device. Please explain how this makes sense:

- I was sold a phone with a faulty camera by VODACOM.

- The phone was repaired by VODACOM.

- The phone was also damaged by VODACOM.

- With all the stuff VODACOM has done, I still need to pay another R5500 to have this issue resolved. That is absolute madness.

Vodacom makes billions of Rands a year yet they are unwilling to simply accept that they are in the wrong and either repair or replace the device at their expense. Instead they like to **** people off. No wonder there are over 28000 reviews on hello peter giving Vodacom a rating of 2 stars. They do not care about their customers in the slightest way.
