Vadacom rotten and *******

My Cell phone contract with Cell C expired on 2 March 2020 and I had it changed to a Pay as you go phone. My intention was to sign a contract with Vodacom and I visited their shop in Bela-Bela and 2 March 2020. They were very keen and quick to port my number from Cell C to Vodacom on the same day. I provided them with all the necessary documentation in order to set up a 24 month contract on the same day. Unfortunately the "good service" lasted only to the stage that my cell phone number was ported in to vodacom. For a week I struggled to get them so far as to conclude my contract deal and to provide me with a contract phone. Everyday promises were made that they will finalise it or that they will phone me back but nothing happened. On Monday 9 March 2020 I decided to enter into a contract with MTN. Everything at MTN happened smooth and without any hickups except for the fact that Vodacom is now rejecting MTNs request for my number to be ported to MTN. Vodacom claims that I have to wait two months before they will release my number to MTN. This action by Vodacom is absolutely unacceptable. In the first instance, I do not owe Vodacom anything as my phone number is currently a "pay as you go " phone. Secondly, I would have entered into a contract with Vodacom but due to their poor service and in-ability to conclude a contract in the seven days from 2 March until 9 March 2020 they are now penalizing me by holding me randsom for two months. Is this Vodacom's new strategy to become a leader in the cellphone market. They are very quick to port your number and thereafter there is no client service. They ********ly retain your number for at least two months and in the process they force people to accept their poor service and enter into a contract for 24 months as many people prefer contract phones rather that prepaid phones. Vodacom is a disgrace to the general public and is a ******* and rotten organisation.
