Utterly disgusting

I am absolutely appalled at the service my mother (who is a pensioner) received from Vodacom On 5 June 2021 my father passed away In the weeks following his death we notified Vodacom of his passing Vodacom stopped not only his number but my mother’s cell number as well She contacted Vodacom to ask if she can transfer the numbers to Pay as you go in order to keep the numbers As all relations to his death would be communicated via his or her cell Vodacom said no When she explained to them the importance of the number she was told that she would have to pay the balance of the account if she wanted to keep the numbers This is absolutely shocking in my opinion The reason I am only writing a review now is because I visited my Mother for Christmas and asked how things were going I checked my father’s emails and a lot of companies have sent final demand letters Stating that after numerous attempts to contact him were unsuccessful and lead to the final demand I would like to know if it is common practice from Vodacom to kick people when they are down Utterly disgusting

Reviewer Update
Death certificate was sent to vodacom
Thats why they cancelled the contracts
Vodacom was unsympathetic in a very very difficult time and would not listen to reason
If this is your final response then I am sorry to say
People should really consider changing there service provider
I would like to know why the numbers could not be moved to pay as you go
The decision vodacom made has resulted in great loss
