Good day
I had a vodacom contract, which I was under the impression I cancelled at the correct time. I have now received a final demand letter stating that I owe R472.49. I have since called the call centre numerous times to try to sort out the matter. I was passed from department to department and to my disappointment, no one was willing to take ownership of my query. I received conflicting information with one person saying i owe R249.00 and another saying R472.49 on the same day. This should never have happened as i did all I could to prevent this due to me not having faith in call centres. I phoned a few times before cancelling my contract to find out the correct date and time to cancel in order to be in line with my signed agreement. i also confirmed with the consultants when my last debit order would be hence the unpaid debit order in November. My first concern is that it was not made clear to me that I had a debit order for November, 2nd issue is I am not willing to pay for a penalty of R100 for missing a debit order i was not aware of and 3rdly no one seems to be able to tell me where the other difference of R222.49 comes from. Sadly the general client service number does not provide options to speak to a consultant and disconnects you if you can’t find an automated option to select. the only time i could get through to a person was calling collections, legal , accounts and cancellations department and all of them keep transferring me to each other or to the client care line where i get disconnected. Please I’m desperate for assistance, even the vodacom store in Vangate mall wasn’t much of assistance. I have never skipped a payment previously and was more than willing to pay my due. but I refuse to pay for something that is not my fault and due to misinformation from numerous vodacom employees. The last shocking info I received is that apparently, I was supposed to have an instalment paid in dec as well; this is the first time I’ve been told of this. Please make use of all the call recordings and notes that should be on the system. I am being threatened with being blacklisted which I take very seriously as I am very conscious of my credit record. If this matter is not resolved soon, I will be contacting your head of customer care and the ombudsman thereafter. Please do not take this lightly. I have did all I could now to try and resolve this on my end I trust someone competent will take ownership of this matter.
Kind regards, Noeraan
