Utter disgust at Vodacoms Customer Service

I would just like to register my total disgust at the level of customer care that Vodacom supplies its clients! On Friday morning, 31st May I contacted Vodacom Fibre to report that I was not receiving any Wifi at my residence. After a lengthy chat with the call centre agent, and after trying various solutions with her, she concluded that we would need the help of a Technician. She assured me a technician would arrive to resolve the issue within 48hrs. I queried whether this would be possible as it was a Friday, and she assured me that the technicians worked on weekends. I called again on Sunday morning (after the 48hrs had expired), and was informed by the call centre that a technician had not been allocated to this complaint yet, but one would contact me soon. I called again on Monday morning, to be informed again that a technician would contact me ‘soon’. I called again this morning, Tuesday – 5 days later, to be told that a technician would contact we ‘soon’. After complaining, the call centre agent informed me that “we are short of technicians”, which in itself is alarming for a company like Vodacom who purports to be leaders in technology, but then the call centre agent informed me that I needed a new router, and that would take 7 days to arrange! So if the agent I spoke to today could tell me over the phone I needed a new router, why could this not be conveyed to me on Friday, by the first agent I spoke to? Why does it take 7-days to get a new router? I can get a parcel from the UK in 24hrs, where do Vodacom get the new routers from that it takes 7 days?? Lastly, why do the call centre agents lie blatantly, promising an agent will contact me within 48hrs, knowing full well that they wont? It is really a shocking example of atrocious customer service. I work from home, and have kids needing wifi for study, and have spent a fortune on data to allow us to continue. Or is this a ply by Vodacom to get me to buy more data?
