USELESS VODACOM SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPORT TEAM!!!
I dropped off my device for repair at Vodaworld Midrand on Wednesday 6 December 2023 and was promised a call back by Friday or Monday. I after that received a message to confirm if I would accept or decline a quote. Vodacom has my Email address and contact numbers to call me for feedback. I have been trying to get some feedback from the online support team on what this feedback acknowledgement pertains but they insist I need to call to accept or decline the quote. This is an insurance claim I do not understand what the use of the Vodacom Online Teams is for if they can never assist me.

11 Dec 2023, 12:45It appears that the reason for the delay in receiving feedback on my repair request is due to VODACOM INSURANCE services. This is the insurance through which my phone is comprehensively insured. They determined that I have been underinsured after assessing the damages to my phone and concluded that it would not be cost-effective to repair it. It's worth noting that this insurance cover came with the contract phone they supp****, along with the associated insurance. Despite claiming to have approved the repairs now, they are insisting on back-payment for coverage dating back to 2020. It's perplexing that this issue is only surfacing when I'm making a claim for repairs, considering it has not been raised during their previous invoicing.

11 Dec 2023, 18:11Unless any discrepancies attributable to me are identified, I hold Vodacom liable for the underinsurance. Failure to settle this matter amicably will leave me with no choice but to escalate my concerns to the Ombud for Short-Term Insurance. I urge you to review the details of my policy and check for any relevant fine print that may have been overlooked. Prompt attention to this matter is essential to avoid further escalation.
